Soundpapered press coverage

Upcoming and already hallowed UK-based podcast/tastemakers, Jazz Standard,  published this great profile of the Soundpapered project in June, calling it a movement, no less (!). Thanks to Nina Fine for her thoughtful and funny prose there.

Look forward to seeing if we can get ourselves organized to talk to the gents at Folded Space and Musica Macondo, also both out of the UK, later this year too. Meantime, Mary Scannell’s delightful Soundpapered feature was published on this blog out of Houston and Chicago, by way of San Diego in March 2017.  Scroll down for details of earlier coverage from Okayplayer too.

Visual sampler for Grammy-winning drummer, Emanuel Harrold

In Los Angeles this Spring, Soundpapered collaborated with animator friends/wizards at Electronic Countermeasures to make this tiny but mighty video sampler for Emanuel Harrold. His solo album, forthcoming in April 2017, includes this single, “Dear Old Past”, featuring Kenneth Whalum III, Brandee Younger and others Soundpapered is yet to draw.
